Custis Pendleton

Media: Dishonored (2012)
Voice Actor: Zach Hanks
More Info: Dishonored Fandom Wiki

I first played Dishonored back near the end of 2018, and shortly after I got attached to the Pendleton twins. Custis in particular has been my favorite character from that series and probably one of my favorite characters ever. While he canonically doesn't have much to work with, I love exploring his character more in-depth than the game ever does. He's the pinnacle of evil, worse than most in the series, but the tiny amount of implicit details we get of him and his personality intrigues me deeply. He's smart but cruel, arrogant yet burdened, and his dynamic with his brother leaves a lot to interpretation and imagination.

Frasier Crane

Media: Frasier (1993-2004)
Actor: Kelsey Grammar
More Info: Wikipedia

Most people tend to actually like Niles, Frasier's brother in the show, more than the titular character, but I'm personally more partial to Frasier himself. He's fussy, pompous, and slightly narcissistic. But I love the shades of his character where it's clear that he has a strong amount of compassion and a bit of a bleeding heart too. His depiction in the show has a lot of complexities. Plus, I think his presence in the show is very funny, both with his dialogue and his acting. He's melodramatic and his hammy deliveries are some of the best parrts of the show to me.

Hwang In-ho

Media: Squid Game (2021-2025)
Actor: Lee Byung-hun
More Info: Wikipedia

I had a previous passing interest in Squid Game in the past, but it was only until the 3rd and final season's release that I rewatched season 2 and really got into it. In-ho is such an interesting character to me, with his broken morals and worldview. How he's a victim of the system that the games represent while also still perpertrating it. It's very intriguing, though wasted in Squid Game's 3rd season. In-ho's stronger presence in S2 is part of why I love it so much, as his "Young-il" persona interacting with the rest of the players is so fun.

Dorothy Zbornak

Media: The Golden Girls (1985-1992)
Actress: Beatrice Arthur
More Info: Wikipedia

I really adore Dorothy as a character. While there's no definitive protagonist in the show, she's as close as you'll get to one for The Golden Girls. She acts as the "straight man" among the girls and usually the voice of reason, yet even she isn't immune to sitcom antics and personality. She's independent, strong, sarcastic, but also kind-hearted and compassionate. She has a very funny presence in the show, with her sarcasm being a source of many a good moments in the show and her expressions are absolutely perfect in their reactions.

Patrick "Pat" Butcher

Media: BBC Ghosts (2019-2023)
Actor: Jim Howick
More Info: BBC Ghosts Fandom Wiki

Pat's just a little guy! I love that although he's friendly on the surface and in general, he is capable of being spiteful or bitter. It adds dimension to him. He's the heart of the show to me, with how he leads the ghosts in activity clubs. His backstory and what we learn about him is also very emotional as he's one of the more recent ghosts with living family. His dynamic with the other characters is one of my favorites in the show, since his compassion really shines in his interaction with the other ghosts such as Kitty.
